Exhibiting in the Weston Public Library Art Gallery
Did you know that the WPL has an art gallery that shows the work of a local artist each month? Artists of all kinds are encouraged to apply.
Artists who wish to exhibit in the library gallery must apply to the Art and Exhibitions Committee by enclosing:
10 to 15 Images, 8 X 10 photographs or a CD/USB of recent work
List detailing title, medium, size and date
Return Envelope or package with appropriate postage
The committee reviews art twice a year, selecting artists who will exhibit through the year and assigning each artist a month to exhibit. All applications are subject to review by the committee. Weston residents are given preference.
If selected, an artist may exhibit in the gallery at no cost and Is welcome to host a reception in the Community Room at his/her own effort and expense. An artist may sell his/her work indirectly by keeping a price list at the circulation desk. All discussions about sales will be directly between the purchaser and the artist. The library takes no part in the sales process and receives no commission, however, donations to the library are always appreciated. All publicity for the exhibit Is the responsibility of the artist.
