Regional Housing Services Office

The Town of Weston is one of seven communities involved in the Regional Housing Services Office (RHSO), which was established by the following towns:

  • Acton
  • Bedford
  • Burlington
  • Concord as the host community
  • Lexington
  • Sudbury
  • Weston

This collaboration was formed through an Inter‐Municipal Agreement signed in February 2011.  The RHSO maintains the 3,200 units of affordable housing in this regional service area.

Brook School Apartments Elderly Housing

Brook School Apartments is a 4-building complex for people who are at least 62 years of age or who are non-elderly disabled. There are a total of 75 apartments; 55 of which are subsidized and 20 are rented at a market-rate. Income qualification for subsidy follows current HUD income limits. A Weston affiliation preference is in place for Building D only. All units have a waitlist.

Disabled Subsidy Waitlist

Applicants who are under the age of 62 and are disabled may submit an application for housing at Brook School Apartments. The application can be found on the Brook School Apartment’s web page. 

General Apartment Information

The majority of the apartments is one-bedroom and the average size is approximately 750 square feet with a galley-style kitchen, air conditioner, wall- to-wall carpeting, and dishwasher. The rent includes heat, hot water, one parking space, and access to free laundry. Each tenant is responsible for paying his / her own electric, cable, and phone bill. All of the buildings have elevators, a community laundry room, and multiple sitting areas. There are 2 large community rooms available for tenant functions and informal group gatherings.

Brook School Apartments is conveniently located near the Council on Aging, the Public Library, and Weston Town Center.
