  1. Exercise for Every Body

    This class provides cardio, stretching & strengthening in a non-threatening environment. Participants work on cardiopulmonary fitness, balance, improve joint range of motion and learn proper form for strength training of both upper and lower body. Exercises are done standing, but chairs are available if one needs to sit down during the class. It is appropriate for all levels of fitness..

    A high energy class with dance moves to Latin and world music songs, while the instructor leads and breaks the moves down into smaller steps. Ability to step forward, backward and to each side is useful in this class, but all levels are welcome.

  3. Functional Fitness

    This class focuses on exercises and movements that tone muscles and improve the ability to perform everyday activities. The main emphasis is on core strengthening to improve balance, posture, coordination, stability, range of motion and flexibility. There is a combination of chair and standing exercises helps focus on different muscle groups, minimizing the possibility of repetitive movement injuries. Functional Fitness is open to all levels of fitness and includes use of dyna bands, light hand/leg weights & pilates rings, all of which are supplied.

  4. Grab-and-Go Lunch for Weston Veterans

    Thank you, Weston Veterans, for your military services. We invite all Weston military veterans to stop by the COA to pick up a complimentary grab-and-go boxed lunch and special gift as a token of our appreciation. This is designed as a grab-and-go event but we are able to offer limited seating at the COA for those who would like to eat together. Contact the COA to let us know your meal choice by Thursday, November 5 and whether you will be picking up your meal or eating at the COA. This gift of gratitude is available to ALL Weston veterans regardless of age.     Interested in learning Italian or refreshing lost language skills? Join Luisella Raffo for an introduction to basic Italian language. This course will include fundamental Italian pronunciation, vocabulary and simple conversation. No previous knowledge of Italian is necessary. Luisella Raffo is a lecturer in Italian in the Romance Language Department at Boston University. She is a native-born Italian from Milano and has an advanced degree from the University of Milano. This series takes place on Mondays, Nov. 9-Dec. 14, 1:30-2:30 on Zoom. All are welcome to join. What should you take with you when you hit the trail? Join Marjorie Turner Hollman, author of three local walking guides, and now Finding Easy Walks Wherever You Are, for a Zoom presentation that will answer these questions and more. Marjorie Turner Hollman is a personal historian who loves the outdoors. A native Floridian, she came north for college and snow! A freelance writer, she has appeared on Boston’s WCVB Channel 5 TV news magazine show, Chronicle, the Boston Globe, local radio and cable TV shows, and been published in local, regional, and national publications.
